Centre for Alternative Technology Europe’s leading eco centre. Publications, courses and free advice on all aspects of sustainability
Communities 4 Renewables C4R helps communities set up local energy enterprises and supports them to develop, finance and manage their own renewable energy generation
Community Energy – GOV.UK A guide aimed at local groups who are interested in setting up a community energy project
Cynnal Cymru – Sustain Wales Links and resources on sustainable energy projects in Wales
Ecodyfi A local community regeneration company who supported the project
Energy4All Advice on setting up community owned renewable energy projects
Gower Power A community share-issue co-op on the Gower Peninsula, South Wales which generates clean electricity for local use, with the surplus from electricity sales helping to fund local community projects.
Islay Energy Trust A community owned organisation that aims to develop renewable energy projects for the benefit of the community whilst reducing Islay’s carbon footprint
Llangattock Green Valleys A group of local residents got looking at ways of creating a greener, more sustainable future for the community
Renewables UK Championing the UK wind and marine renewables industries
Renew Wales A subsidised mentor-led support scheme for sustainability-focussed community groups in Wales
Transition Penwith An initiative that works to engage all sectors of the local community in addressing the issues which arise from Energy, Economics and the Environment
Westmill Windfarm coop A project building 5 community owned wind turbines in Oxfordshire.
